Make extra money with advertising on your niche website

1. Choose a theme for your website. Select an area or niche that interests you. i.e. hunting, scrapbooking, etc.

2. Register a domain name. I always use GoDaddy. You can also find great domain names for sale on eBay. You can start by clicking a listing on the eBay ad to the right.

3. Build your website. I highly recommend the products below. Inexpensive software. Very easy to use. Lots of features.

4. Buy hosting. I LOVE Joomla Hosting listed below. I host 10 different domains on 1 hosting package. Their technical support is AWESOME!

5. I use an FTP program to upload website files to hosting. You can download FileZilla for FREE! easy to use!

6. Once you have your website, you can add affiliate links and ads to start making money. (Most affiliate programs do not allow ad placement for websites that are "under construction". For affiliate programs, I use Commission Junction. For ads, I use AdBrite listed below. WIth AdBrite, you get paid just to show the ads on your page. You also get paid extra every time that someone clicks on the ad.

7. Last, but not least... You need to get visitors to your site. Traffic = $$$ The best way to get your site out there is to use traffic exchanges and auto-surf sites. You can find links to the best traffic sites on this site. (see menu on left)
Also, you should submit your website to search engines such as Google. Cosmi makes a great program for this. See the Amazon link above. |
